How to delete your Helome account and data
You can delete your Helome account at any time. This page is the account and data deletion page for the Helome app.
Option 1: delete inside the app (fastest)
- Open Helome and log in.
- Go to Settings > Account > Deactivation and deletion > Delete account.
- Enter your password and tap Delete Forever, then confirm.
Option 2: you cannot open the app
Email support.helome@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Helome account. Write the mobile number registered on the account and your username. We will first check that the account is yours (for example with an OTP to that number) and then delete it. We aim to finish within 30 days and will confirm by email.
What is deleted
- Your login account, profile (name, username, bio, website, photo)
- Your mobile number, date of birth, gender and consent record
- Your posts, comments and likes, and the photos and videos you uploaded
- Your followers and following lists, block list, notifications, search history, settings and push-notification token
- Likes and comments you left on other people's posts are not removed instantly. We are setting up an automatic clean-up. Until it is live, email us and we will delete them by hand within 30 days.
What may be kept
- Abuse reports (and security records) for at least 12 months, or longer if the law requires, for safety and legal reasons.
